Our specialty is in the area of Assisted Living. Our residents particularly value the family like atmosphere of our facility. Our facility serves eleven (11) residents. Our facility is situated on about 2.5 acres in a country setting. From the owners thru the staff, we hold ourselves to a very high standard because we know that your loved one deserves our very best. We can assure you that you will not be disappointed with our services. We encourage you to contact the local ombudsman office to inquire about their opinion of our facility.
We are affiliated with Blue Step, a nationally known company. Blue Step provides an electronic record keeping program that tracks all resident activities, needs, medications, etc. Aside from the tremendous advantages for our facility there are noteable ones for the family. Blue Step has a feature called Family Connect; this allows you your own username and password to access our record server and see information about your loved one in real time. This is done anywhere you have internet access, how convenient. Information on Family Connect consists of: resident photo, staff generated shift notes and update notes, activities and exercise for past 5 days, medications administered the last 3 days, and the most recent nursing assessment.
Nursing homes are designed to care for very frail people that are not able to care for themselves and have numerous health care requirements. Assisted living facilities are designed to assist elderly persons who are able to care for themselves except for a few activities, those needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Assisted living facilities offer help with ADLs such as eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, laundry, housekeeping, and assistance with medications. Assisted living is not an alternative to a nursing home, but an intermediate level of long-term care appropriate for many seniors.Assisted living exists to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing homes.
Most assisted living facilities create a service plan for each individual resident upon admission. The service plan details the personalized services required by the resident and guaranteed by the facility. The plan is updated regularly to assure that the resident receives the appropriate care as his or her condition changes.
